Bulk Filling

The science of “bulk-filled” dental restorations is a recent development on the timeline of dental history. However, the procedure has quickly become widely used as dental material science has improved and clinicians have realized substantial efficiency gains.  

Pulpdent offers two restoratives ideal for bulk filling: 

ACTIVA™ BioACTIVE-RESTORATIVE— The very first bioactive dental product, ACTIVA BioACTIVE-RESTORATIVE, is dual-curing, ensuring the depth of cure. The self-curing mode reduces the exothermic reaction and polymerization stresses, eliminating sensitivity caused by excessive heat and unpolymerized resin. 

ACTIVA™ BioACTIVE Bulk Flow™— A less viscous formulation, ACTIVA BioACTIVE Bulk Flow is the ultimate Class II solution. This self-leveling, one-step bulk fill supports the natural remineralization process to protect against microleakage and secondary caries. Use as a dentin replacement or single-step bulk fill—capping layer is optional depending on the specific needs for the patient.
